When posting on this board please be aware that this is an open message board and the information you post can be found in any search engine anywhere around the world.

Before posting a thread have you tried...

The search trees facility on this site which can be found by going to 'Search' at the top right hand side of the page, and then clicking on 'Search All Member Trees'.

Click to search all trees and enter the name of the person you are looking for. This will allow you to see if anyone else on the site has the person you are looking for in their family tree. You may need to send a message to the tree owner to confirm you have found the right person.

Other places to search include:

192.com
Telephone Directories
Facebook
Friends Reunited
Electoral Rolls

As this is where all members who are trying to help you - will look first.

Can you please also enclose some information for example connection to the person you are looking for.

It is also worth watching your thread for a while because quite often a helper may require further information of you.

If you are not able to do so, can you at least put something on there for example " will be back on later " as there are quite a few with information on and yet posters have not returned.

Also note that the people helping on the message board are NOT employed by Genes Reunited, therefore it is always appreciated when you say Please and Thank you. Members are helping you for free and any looks ups are paid for out of their own subscriptions.
