Has a brother William H Knight b 1895.
Father William Kay Knight and mother Ethel Fogg came to Australia with 4 other sibblings. Eileen, George, Ethel and Leslie. All from Birkenhead area.

First, this is info you want to give at the outset!

I checked FreeBMD, and the 4th quarter of 1917 marriages haven't been transcribed yet, apparently. All three other quarters, but not that one!

Ecals doesn't sound like a name (there is one instance of it in the entire GRO index so far, leading me to suspect mistranscription). If you do know what it was, you can search for

Ancestry shows a marriage in that quarter (Q4, 1917 )William H.KNIGHT to Annie ECCLES in Birkenhead area.

I am not doing well today! I don't know what glitch could have struck FreeBMD (which is where Ancestry gets its stuff anyhow), but it let me down, lol.
