I am trying to find details on Caroline Hardiman who was born c1822/3 and married William Wright in March 1843 in Westminster (Middx). I have no details of her family at all and would appreciate any help to find her parents and siblings.

Do you have an address for the Hardiman family in 1841? There seems to be a lot of different surnames in that dwelling according to your list {presumably mostly unrelated}?! However you certainly have the correct Hardimans that I am currently investigating.

1841 address is Colville Court. Mary, Caroline and Susan Hardiman are all born out of county. Don't think any of the other names are relevant

Just to confirm what RutlandBelle said ... the other names on the 1841 Census as posted by Astra have no relevance to you. The address is Colville Court, and it looks like some sort of tenement, with lots of people living in separate lodgings or rooms.

I should point out that the ages of all persons over the age of 15 were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 ........ most enumerators did do this, a few did not.

so someone shown as age 60, would actually be somewhere between 60 and 64

You should always be aware of this fact

I was interested in the message from 'safc' in which Caroline Hardiman was apparently baptised on 12/07/1818 at St Mary's Church in Taunton. However according to our records our Caroline was born in Taunton c1821/2. Certainly the parents are the same. We are wondering whether the earlier Caroline died and a subsequent sibling was also named Caroline. Is there anyone who can check this for me please. Also I would like to know Caroline's mother's maiden name, her first name being Mary and born c1781. In addition if anyone knows when and where Caroline's parents married.

Thank you safc for Caroline Hardiman's mother's maiden name and date of Mary's marriage. All I need to do now is to sort out the birth dates of the one or two Caroline Hardimans between 1818 and 1822.
