John Henry Howes/William Matthew Howes/Mary Jordan

Can anyone help me find the following:

John Henry Howes born 1862 in Shanghai (I think), if not I think they were from Devon.

He married Mary Jordan born 1882 but dont know where. They married in shanghai in May 1900. Her father was Matthew Jordan c1860.

John Henry and Mary had a son William Matthew Howes born Aug 1901 in Shanghai.

John Henry was a Marine Engineer and he died in 1905 in Chefoo Harbour, China.

I dont know anything else about them ie. where they were from, when they left China, where they settled after JHHs death etc etc.

If anyone can find anything else I would be very grateful.
