Does anyone know how Sarah Crew (of Westonbirt, Gloucestershire) was linked to the Crew family of Tetbury / Shipton Moyne, Gloucestershire, in the 1600s?

The only way of finding out (as I believe GR staff should have mentioned?) is by systematically building a tree back to her and looking 'sideways' to cousins, uncles, aunt etc and finding any possible links via Parish records..

As RamblingRose has suggested you will need to look at parish registers and will probably mean extending your research into other parish records including wills.

To see what records survive I would have a look at the relevant record office online catalogue.

Good luck
