Is anyone able to look up any passanger lists to see when Carl Wilhelm Gran came to England. Born in Horten, Norway in 1870 or 1871 he married in Islington London in1895. He may have come under the name of Carl Iverson

Thank you so much for taking time out to look this information up for me. As you can see I have hit a brick wall with this one ( my husbands gr grandfather) too. All I know is that his father Carl Edward Iverson Gran was in the Norwegian Navy....it might be that Carl Wilhelm was aswell and jumped ship in England !!!!

Hi to Lady Kira and Chris,

This is great info on the Gran family in Norway. I have always wondered if Iverson was the mothers name.................. as it was passed down to my husbands grandfather (Carl Edward Peder Iverson b. 1896). He also called himself Charles so my guess is that the 1891 census with a Charles Gran undertaker b. in Horten is the right man. I shall have to reall study the infor on the family names to get some understanding of the family.
