Hi folks. Can any of you good people use your knowledge to tell me if there is a website somewhere dedicated to the Davey family in Devon. Within a very small area of the south-west coast there was a lot of intermarrying.
The families connected to the Davey family are as follows. Haydon, Dart, Hammett, Hedgeland, Tucker, Couch and Stentiford, Jerrett, and Cann.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

I'd ask at the Devon Family History Society discussion board I referred to in that thread:

Thanks Paula, I have been in touch with quite a few Davey contacts on GR. Unfortunately they seem to be different lines of the same family, and I cannot connect them to the ones I am looking for.

Thanks Janey. I will note down the sites that you mention. Just need a nudge in the right direction. Been on IGI and freeBMD, but that is just for individuals I believe, not complete families. There seems to have been quite a few of the Davey clan in Devon, but cannot get a link between them all.

Hi

I am a descendant of a Davey family living in Ottery St Mary in the middle of the 19th century. One son went on to live in Honiton with his wife & daughters. Does this provide a link for you?

Susan and Richard ... motowngal may not be a regular user of the site and may not see your replies. No notice is sent. If you click on her name you can send her a private message. If her email address at this site is current she will receive notice of that.

Richard, it just isn't wise to publish one's email address on the internet, even when it's an online service like hotmail, since it has your name attached to it. Anyone who wants to reach you can do it as described above through this service.

Thank you Julie, I have just spotted this. I am going out soon, but if I may email you over the weekend, that would be great.

Best wishes
