Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am havin major difficulty trying to find my great grandfathers family. Have no idea how he arrived in New Zealand his name was Alfred Albert Hood with his birthplace only known as Northern Ireland - his fathers name was William Hood and he was a Coastguardsman. Alfred lived his first 22 years in Ireland can find no record of him leaving there and arriving in New Zealand where he married Widow Eliza Ann Webster - who appears to have been his employer. Worked out that he was born approx 1867 died 1912 aged 45
