Andrew, I'm sure you've got a mine of information that is of interest to people researching that name. Unfortunately, it's wasted on threads that are years old and the posters never returned to them.

The baptisms for Mary (1 Aug 1830), and Daniel (25 July 1841) were at St. Mary's in Prescot.
The baptisms of Joseph (4 Nov 1832), Margaret (30 Jan 1835), Thomas (12 Mar 1836) and Margaret (23 Dec 1837) were at Mold.
All of them mention Mary as their mother. All except Thomas mention that Daniel was a potter.

As part of my One Name Study I have found records about Daniel and Mary.

Mary Ashton, born c1794 in Northwich, Cheshire, married Daniel Robinson at Rainford in 1820. They had at least one child, Peter (c1826).

Mary's marriage to Daniel Dunbavand was at Prescot on 8 July 1829. Daniel was a potter, born at Cronton on 16 March 1795.

Early in their marriage the couple moved to Buckley (Bucle) in north Wales, which then had a large pottery industry.

By 1841 the family were back in Prescot.

1851 saw Daniel far from home, in Market Harborough. I assume he was involved in a pottery business there.

Daniel died, back in Prescot, in 1857.

Daniel's father John (1767-1855) had been a weaver, but grandfather Daniel (1739-1810) and great grandfather John (1708- ) had been potters too, producing the Liverpool pottery which is now prized by collectors.

Christine,
I am the ggg.grandson of Peter. I have Mary's maiden name as Ashton, do you agree?

I do not however have her parents names.

I have Daniel Robinsons parents as Peter Robinson & Ellen Garrett

Hi,

On my family tree I have Ellen, Peter Robinson's sister.
Their Mother Mary married Daniel Robinson in Rainford in 1820. I have a copy of the parish record. Daniel died in 1828 and Mary married Daniel Dunbavand in 1829.
Ellen Robinson was my gt gt grandmother.

Several Dunbavand records on Lancashire OPC site but none for a marriage for Daniel

I have on my Tree a Peter Robinson, whose mother Mary(b.1800), re-married a Daniel Dunbavand(b.1795) after 1826. I am trying to narrow down the years and get a Marriage record. Both Mary & Daniel are from Prescot, and all children too.
In 1841/51 Census Mary & Daniel have various Dunbavand children with them, and in 1841 Peter is still listed as the only Robinson child.
I therefore wish to know if anyone recognises this, or can help in the Mother's name for the following Dunbavand's born in Prescot, lancs, to see if these were Mary's or a previous wife for Daniel

Mary Dunbavand b. abt, 1830
Thomas b. abt 1836
Margaret b. abt 1837

Alternatively if anyone can find a Daniel Dunbavand marriage to Mary that would also help.

It is definately not the Daniel Dunbabin from IGI in 1825
