Hi and years later and around and around I went. And although registered here on genesreunited, I found this post on a GOOGLE SEARCH

Anyhows this is where I'm at, as a beginner

Chas H Gatward - actually Charles is my husbands grandfather.
Ellen married Walter Abrahams

These being what I call the children of the illusive Charles b1862... all now becomes apparent

But did Charles b 1862 have any other male children? Or are those checking the tree his brothers & sisters (Father John b 1828)

I know this is years on - but hope it adds to the melting pot.

I'm working on a theory that there is one, my father inlaw seems to think there was some sort of family situation and they weren't speaking.

Yes he did re-marry an Ellen but in 1927 so strange that she is there in 1901 census.
