Hi
I hope someone can help me I am trying to find any information on GEORGE SINES born @ 1873.He married Sarah Ann Roberts in Kingston Surrey in 1895.On his marriage cert it states his father as George Sines (deceased). A daughter was born in 1903 and there was no father listed on birth cert, but on her marriage cert her father was listed as HENRY NICHOLLS SINES (deceased).
Any help would be greatfully recieved

So the daughter born 1903 - whose daughter - you mean to that couple? And no father was on the birth cert? Im sorry I cant understand.

Hi sorry if I have confused you
George Sines and Sarah Roberts were married Kingston Surrey in 1895. They then had a daughter Agnes in 1903 but name and surname of father on her birth certificate was left blank, yet when Agnes married in 1920 on her marriage certificate the father was listed as Henry Nicholls Sines and not George
Hope this makes more sense

This looks like a very old thread so I am not sure if my comment is relevant now. Just to say that Henry Herbert Nicholls Sines is Agnes's younger brother. Henry ( or Harry as he was known) was my Grandad and Sarah was my great Gran. The story goes that Sarah failed to inform Grandad of his full name and he only discovered the 'Nicholls' addition when he joined the Navy and the truth had to come out for the paperwork. It was a shock to find out that this was his real fathers name. Maybe Agnes was another Nicholls child?

Hi joanne
I am so sorry for taking so long to respond. (I gave up on the ancestry for a year or so)
Have you got any more information on the family as i have come up against a brick wall.
My ex husband is the grandson of Agnes
Thanks

Welcome (back!) to the boards Lorna

Unfortunately as Joanne has deleted her account, she can't be contacted via her 2013 membership. In normal circumstances lapsed or 'free' members can still receive and reply to messages.

Have you tried using the search all members trees facility? Its possible that since you last looked other people have added the same family members as you.
