So we can now rule out the Slack connection and concentrate on Meredith.

JJ must have bumped his age up on the 1901 census but we've not been able to find a birth for him or his sister Frances.

Hmmmm....................this 1901 entry fits with the 1898 marriage but not with the 61 census for Jane and Annie.

A quick summing up:

We've found 2 JJ's who appear in 1891 and 1901 census.

We've only found one birth, the above mentioned for Slack.

What we need to find is a birth for JJ Meredith or possibly Weston.................and that's where we come unstuck.

This looks like the same couple from 1901. So, possibly living as husband and wife before marrying in 1898.

Deb my gut instinct is that this is not the couple who married in 1898. Just can't think why they would have gone from Liverpool to Salford to marry & then went back to Liverpool.

Yep, I'm grasping at straws.................lol...................and why would their 2 children, Jeffery and Frances be all the way down in Chertsey with grandma.
