Hi Cathy, im tracing three sections of my family tree around London, Spender, Denby and Eglinton (Eglinton is often spelt in weird and wonderful ways). I would be very grateful if you could keep an eye out duing your searches, i believe specifically that they may have been in the vercinity of St George Hanover Sq.

Anything appreciated, thanks Kirsty

Hi Angela

I have checked the registers that go past 1800 (and thats not many!) and cant spot them. Most of the registers i have finish quite early...thats the problem.
I did find a Colwell marriage in St George Hanover Square. Not sure if its of use but will pass it on

1815 July 16 John Collis, B, and Martha Colwell, S

The B and S stand for batchelor and spinster.

Hi Cathy

Please could you check the St George Hanover square baptisms for John Mason (about 1807), Charles Mason (about 1802) and Jane Mason (about 1805). I'm hoping these 3 are all part of the same family. If the years are too vague and there are too many to search, don't worry.

Thanks very much

SilverLady Report 30 Jun 2008 18:10

Hi Cathy ...

Great offer - thank you!

Like Jill, I'm also doing a one-name study and wondered if you could have a look at your indexed Middlesex disc for any instances of the surname WASTIE.

I doubt whether you will find many (if any!), but if there are too many to list, then I'm particularly interested in anything pre-1800.

Many thanks.
