Hi Dea,
Thankyou for all this, not been able to do anything myself so far today, have been sat in A&E with a friend most it...all is well now, so that's good.
Wow they liked name changes, didnt they.....the thing that tickled me is on 1841 it states a female child..Christabele...then on the 1851 poor little mite is Christopher..male child !!!!.....most probably a mistake by the person doing the census...I hope!
Would love to get both the book's....sure they will make fascinating reading...who would have thought anything to do with my family, in print, all over the world....wow!

If we ever get to the end of this (and we WILL), and you get those books - PLEASE send me a copy!

Morning ladies! Like you I would like to see the books. I checked the catalogue for my local library which is online but neither book is there. And I'm a few thousand miles away from Saskatchewan. There are a lot of hits if you google "fallowfield joel". This Canadian didn't understand A&E but I presume that's what we call Emerg. (the emergency department of the hospital?) Hope everything's OK? Incidentally my son often buys used, out of print books from a website calle Abe Books. I checked and they have quite a few copies of "Along the Way" Margaret Hastings. I wonder if it contains any more info than what we've seen? Marg p.s. I really have to get some work done today so am going to try to tear myself away from the computer!

I have things to do too, but I can't resist!!

P.S. - Tonight's menu - sliced chicken breast (cut across the grain) - beat into escalopes - marinated in light soy, lemon, olive oil, + garlic, a hint each of ginger, coriander, and chilli, +salt + black pepper.
Dried and coated in flour, then egg, then freshly dried and toasted breadcrumbs.
Deep fried and served with sautéd potatoes and a salad garnish, twist of lemon !!!
