Thanks for looking at the Canadian census for me. At best there are nearly 30 ways of spelling the name ranging from TINNIS to Temmuchhea.

MANY THANKS for all the kind help given. I was totally unaware of Barholomew as a son and previously I said that I knew of jessie and assigned wrong parantege to her. Infact the Jessie found here is another Jessie. From my main enquiery, 2 new people have been found. Thanks once again.

This is a strange record. The names Tennuchi and of Jessie's husband are given to this wee lad but his parents are unknown and his grandmother was Mrs E J Lennay (nee Mary Denny ?)

Hug accepted with thanks Alan! I've found the record but my French is very rusty. Parents were Barthelemi Tinnuchi, journalier, and Ann Durcton ? I think. Pretty hard to make out some of the writing. There is also an Ann O'Sullivan mentioned.

Sorry, Alan, can't find any Tennuci/Tinnuchi on any of the Canadian censuses. I'm trying to imagine how the name would be mis-spelled. We see a lot of mis-spellings of French names here when they are spelled by an English person. For instance French speaking people pronounce TH as T.

Hi Alan,
I can access the record but i dont speak French,if some wants to give me their email i can email the page to them and they can translate for you, unless someone comes on that can do both.

I could just *HUG* you for what you have found. It is not what I was looking for but answered a question as to what happened to Jessie Tinnuchi.

It also answers who her parents are. I assumed it was her father's 2nd wife but this proves that it was his 1st wife's child.

Now to my original query. The details are as follows:

Marie Louise Tinnuche
Naissance (Birth) 1873
Montréal (Ste-Brigide)
Catholique

I mispelt her name but in doing so you have been able to answer a question I have pondered over for the last 2 years.

Sorry. Should have said.

I see a few Tinnuchi's, but I believe you need Canadian Ancestry to view those records (no Maria, however).

I can't find the record. What is it you are looking for, please? (Immigration?) (I don't speak French, but I can sometimes muddle through the written language.)
