PAT
if you go to the Oxfordshire Family History Society web page, (google) you will be able to see which parishes have been transcribed, and for how far back. Also there are wills google Oxfordshire Wills... some go back ages and ages, look for your names of interest. they are there in modern language as well in the original.

Hello Margaret

I hope things have settled down since your recent problems ?

Am wondering if you can assist with another CLACK queery.

Boaz Clack born 1817 Bampton married a Jane ?
(not on Free BMD)

The first child I can find (Boaz) was baptised at Ardley in 1841,they then baptised at least one child at Islip before returning to Aston Bampton

(I have the Bampton and Aston Bampton transcriptions)

If possible I would like to know
Any marriage details
Children
If the children survived

Thank you (in hope !!)

Hello Margaret

You were kind enough to look up some records for me re the Oxfordshire Whettons which was a tremendous help. This is just a general query - how many of the Parish Records etc. have been transcribed, is there still a long way to go? How do I find out more re my Lower Heyford ancestors, are there records available in the area that go further back or are complete? I am wondering if a visit there might be useful at some point, as it is quite a long way for me to come.

Hope you don't mind me asking

Kind regards
Pat

Thank you Margaret

William was born 1789 at Finstock (bpt Charlbury) and John born 1813 was the first child of William & Mary but the Mary buried 1815 could well be relevant

ELIZABETH
sorry I cannot find a marriage between William Hathaway or similar to a Mary
there is a baptism in Charlbury of
John Hathaway son of William and Mary of Finstock 29/8/1813

there is a burial of
Mary Hathaway aged 23 yrs wife of William of Finstock 26/11/1815

if your Hathaways came from Charlton on Otmoor there are marriages of
William Hathaway 5/2/1764 to Mary Dutton
William Hathaway 8/5/1782 to Ann Morris

regarding the Ann Morris marriage, if you think she is the mother of your William married to Mary unknown
Ann Hathaway widow buried Charlbury 9/4/1828 aged 70 yrs.
sorry not to find marriage as request.

Sorry Margaret,
I've just realised my original post didn't have my Mum's name.
She was Florence Beatrice Brookes born 4.01.1915 in the Banbury workhouse. She died on 24.12.2010 in Chester.

Hi Margaret,
I don't know if you've seen a thread I posted some time ago
http://www.genesreunited.com.au/boards.page/board/help_clinic/thread/1249428
I wondered if you might have any ideas
One suggestion was if my Mum was christened, the vicar might have noted the father's name. Do you have access to Banbury baptisms - could have been C of E or Methodist.
I would be most grateful for any help.

LAUREN
I think that I have already looked for Gilbert George Larner for you in St Ebbes and could not find him, and also for Mary Ellen Larner. Perhaps you could look through my messages to you for the results. You contacted me through the email system. Kindest regards Margaret East
