Hello Sam,

Thank you for your kind offer.

Thomas CULVER b. 1805 Kent m. Ann ? b. 1817 Deal, Kent according to 1851 census - it says 'seasalter' and this must be occupation, I think. Their eldest child Sarah Emma b. 1832 Poplar, Middx.

Any mention of any CULVERS, please, Sam.

Much appreciate your kind help.

Reece

Found Seasalter - it is near Whitstable, Kent.

Also there was a prior marriage and Ann ? was the second wife.

Thanks, Sam. Those records are great. Is there any chance you could also check Rolvenden for me as well - same name? I was hoping you might find Dive Millener to Hannah Buckwell. Sarah Wiles, I believe, was his second wife.

Thanks again, Karen

Hi Sam

My great great grandmother was a Mary Ann Elizabeth Johnson, born c1834, Southwark, London. According to her 1853 Plumstead marriage certificate her father was a James Johnson, Carpenter.

The only James Johnson I can find who might fit the bill is shown on the 1851 as living in Greenwich but originating in Benenden, Kent, born c1807. His wife is also Mary Ann, born c1812 from Westminster.

Is there anything on your discs about this James Johnson which might help me to decide whether he is the father of my Mary Ann?

Many Thanks

Pam

Hi Pam
Sorry there was only one marriage for James Johnson in Beneden and it was to Sophia Bennett in 1801.Have you found a baptism for Mary?I had a look at the baptisms on ancestry but couldn't find one that had James as father.
