When you were looking for the Sampson girls on the 1871 census, did
you come across any of the births ?.

Ive been looking and looking for a marriage for their parents with no luck.
Only thing to do now is get one of the girls BC's and find out that way.

I dont think its any of them, the only time the girls appear is with the
Andrews family as nieces.

On the 1881 they were with im sure Sarah-Ann Andrews aunt unmarried,
her mum was Lydia not sure of maiden name as she married pre 1837.

And also the name Lucy was used a lot amongst the family, ive tried
looking on Ancestry and Free BMD and the only birth i found was the

Eleanor Lucy one at Bromley, so it shall have to be that one, thank for
trying anyway.

Thats the right family i have seen that already, Moses Andrews was my
3 Gt grandads brother born in Rendham in 1803.

im sure that one of his daughters must be the girls Mum, but the big
question is which one.

The only one it wasnt wasnt id say is Sarah-Ann she died about 1917
at Lewisham not married.

Where did you get that from ? , ive searched and searched the IGI with no sucess for her maiden name and their marriage.

Louisa Caroline Andrews i have just discovered was the daughter of
Moses son James and she was born at Woolwich and died in 1894
aged just 27.

If you are up for a challenge, my 3 Gt grandad married at lambeth in 1838
to Hannah Mary Summers. But he says he was a widow if you could find

out who he married i would be forever greatful Lol. His name was William
and he was born in March 1801 at Rendham, i dont know wether he

married his first wife there though. I have to go oot now and make a move,
before im sat here all day doing nothing.

Sorry but i dont know of any children. I knew when he married Hannah Summers, but untill i got the marriage cert i didnt know that he had been

married before. I suppose i should have guessed really. It looks quite
promising with her name being Lucy though.

James Andrews died at Woolwich about 1876 and he was a milittery
outfitter ( ive spelt that wrong ) not a gasman Lol. And probably his wife

Caroline also died about the same time, their children seem to be scattered all over after the 1871 census. Popping up with Grandparents

and Aunts ect.

Thats the right James, the same as on the 1861 where he was a servant.

The lady he married Caroline Haslett was living in the same house aged
13.

They married at Woolwich about 1865, the sons middle name was
Moses
