Hello everyone
I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find my relatives on my mother's side. I've managed to find her Grandfather, John Bollingbrooke Dove, who was born in Hastings c1882, and his wife's name was Barbara Helen... but I don't know her surname and I can't seem to get past my Great Grandfather!! If anyone has any helpful advice/knowledge/search tips that they are willing to share, please reply to this!!

I can't find one in 1891 born Hastings.

Looks like he's in the army in 1901, a private, rifle brigade in Alverstoke, Hampshire. He was born 1882, Hastings, Sussex.

In 1891 he's mistranscribed John B. Deve. (Original is Dove.) He's an inmate in a boy's home in South Bersted, Sussex. he was born 1882 Hastings.

I think this is probably your Barbara Helen even though it says Barbara E. I think the enumerator probably heard Barbara Ellen.
