Lordy!! She would have been in her fifties then in 1910. Surely not her first marriage?

does any one know if her maiden name would be given on her marriage to William or would it just give previous husbands surname

Hi Julie,
i know it is strange,my in law sent me the 1911 info and thats all i have.
So looks like it's gonna be hard for me.I have sent off the e-mail and hope to hear back about the last name
but probably the 1911 is all she has as well,i suppose i could try to find the marriage and get the cert, but it all takes so long!
Thanks

She must have been in her forties when she married in 1910. Had she been married earlier? If so, she might appear on the census's in her maiden name.

Hi every one,
i wonder if someone could find out about this person via census just tried ancestry 1881 but no luck.
I just found out about her today, she was my husbands step 3x grandmother. She married William Pimlott Stephens in 1910 and they lived in Romford
she was born c1863 at sea.
Just googled her name and up popped the battle of Alma and the siege of Sabastopol during the Crimea wars.Am wondering if her father was in the army or navy.Hence the birth at sea.
Any info would be great as i would love to tell my father in law about this lady, his sister was named after her.
many thanks
Cathie
