Charlotte..you may also like to know that harrison Stather was slung off his farm at Everthorp at he expiry of his 15 year lease...07.10.1867,,thats why he is retired in 1881......Hotham Hall Estates..owned by the BUTLER family!!

Regarding the Bell dispute of 1802..........that would have been the wife ELIZABETH GILDERDALE of NATHANIEL BELL (1771-12.06.1852)
(married 16.09.1794)
by whom he had two children Thomas and Mary

Clealry as a result of the dispute he then married HANNAH HESSAY on 20.02.1803, with whom he had another TEN children last one 1825

including NATHANIEL BELL 31.12.1809-27.03.1898. who married ELIZABETH CLARKSON (1811-1881) married on 30.06.1833

giving birth to your Elizabeth Bell 1842..who was one of SEVEN children....

and you doubt the potency of these Yorkshire Farmers/MIllers!!!!!! lol

If I start it all off with the father of NATHANIEL BELL(1771).......was ALEXANDER BELL 1755-1819..wife unknown.

And that,my dear dog and horse lover should complete your family tree..at least on the BELL side......

I'll see how far back i can take the Harrisons.

PS if you want all the Bell and Harrison children..let me know...will give a very impressive Tree!!

oh my oh my
this is so much fun...have left the horses happily munching for today as this is far more interesting..
i am getting a quote from national archives for the will belonging to elizebeth bells parents which is contested by her brother william...should make for a good read...

i'm so glad i didn't marry a farmer...tenner ladies at the ready!!!

not sure if i'm so happy my late mother insisted i had the harrison kept in my name,as has my daughter..although she had a wicked sense of humour no doubt looking down now watching my jaw drop..
got to get my head around how to add all these philandering relatives to my tree now...wait til i tell my hubby what he has married into...

..you might send off for the Marriage certificate for Harrison Arthur Stather who married i think March 1906..should give his father's name........or his Birth Certificate 1885???

Will give you loads of children later tonight........

mm that reads a bit dodgy, but i;'m damned if 'm deleting it!!

Hi Derek

Yes that is my Hugh Jackson, I didn't realise your disc covered Sproatley too, so thank you for his Chr date.

My John Ansell married Jane Bailey formerly Poulton in Trinity but he was previously married and I have not been able to find if any children from the first marriage or infact his first wifes name, I have come across the surname Ansdell before but never looked into it, so could you post the Ansdell details and I will do some research see if they are connected, you never know..:)

Big thanks again

Carrie/Carol :D

Hello Derek

Wonder if you could check for my Bowin connections.

Hoping there may be children of Frederick & Frances Bowin at Holy Trinity. They definately had a son called Henry who was burn 1815 but I think thats too late for your records.

Also, could I ask for a check on a marriage for Frederick Bowin and Frances (surname currently unknown). I believe Frederick was a mariner.

Many thanks
Claire
