The birth is actually in West Ham, which is really an Essex bit of London. Ancestry's definitions of where things are tend to be somewhat loony.

I'd say go for it. What's another 7 pounds? It's quite possible it was a Mr. Atkinson who married a Ms. Mace who had been previously married, or a couple who weren't married, or some such, but you may as well find out!

The name is actually Peggy I Atkinson. Make sure you get all the spellings etc right when you order!

She is most likely the one who married in 1940 in Suffolk -- CROYDON, I meant Croydon, Sean put Suffolk on my brain. Wait until you get the birth cert, and then think about that.

no luck yet with death for william francis,but i just wanted to run something by you all,see what you think hope you dont mind .
i have found a birth for a peggi i atkinson mother mace 1920 in suffork ,ive looked for a marraige for a mace and atkinson in the area cant find one but have found a few marraiges for peggi around 1940 .in suffork area.
is it poss for gertrude to have gone back down south to have a baby i know she died in 1929 in durham but it still may be poss after gertrudes death peggi could have been brought up by other family members in suffork ,anyway what im trying to say is do you think it could be her and worth ordering the cert xxxx would u have a look see what you think

Just got back from Spenny, no 11 or 12 left standing.Faced each other on the corner of street.Asked on gent passing if he knew if a shop stood on the corner, he said it was pulled down in the early 70,s he thinks, to make way for flower beds. No flowers now just grass.
