That costs nothing, its a magic trick!
You wave your wand and they appear.
Cant do it with jones or smith though, too many come up.

You will have to buy credits to look at the transcript etc as this only gives the area they live and ages as you see.

Here.

http://dundee-a.1911census.co.uk

Or here

Find my past.

It will tell you where they were born and occupations and address on trancript.

But on image it will tell you how many children born and still living and how long married.
And of course it is in their own handwriting.
the image may be in welsh, english or a mixture of both.

I have the advantage of being able to understand welsh,so no probs for me.

So the rest of you that cant can ,,go weep,,

Hi guys!!

I am SO SORRY i have not been on here in ages! hectic is not the word!!

OK so story so far-

I went to Kew to view the RNR records for Stanley as they did not have the information for me....

and guess what?? THERE WERE NO RECORDS of him :\ How strange....

but wait......

When i ordered Elvina's cert.... I had paid and was awaiting it to arrive, I got an e-mail....

THE CERT I HAD ORDERED IS NOT LISTED/IS NOT AVAILABLE.....

Stranger still...

So I am still no where closer than i was 3 weeks ago, and I'm not getting disheartened as all of the work ALL of you guys have done for me, all of those longs hours i have spent scouring sites etc and I STILL Cannot solve this puzzle......?!?!?!?

If anybody has any suggestions as to where/what i should do/go to next IT WOULD BE GREATLY WELCOMED!!

As at the moment I am up against a yucky blank wall and dont much like the colour!! ;)

Thank you all- & I will not stay away this long again i promise!!

(Sorry Viv & Rose )

Love

What certificate for Elvina are you saying is not available? You have already received her birth certificate so I am not following you!

Did you try looking at any nursing records whilst you were there at Kew?

Brenda

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 28 Jun 2009 22:20

Ann-Marie Report 29 Jun 2009 21:44

Ooooooppppssss! Sorry!! didnt proof read first!! (mental note to my self to do that in future!!) I was just typing so fast to get the message posted!! :)
I meant to say Elvina's Mum & Dad marriage cert George and marias

To see if that sheds any light on this situation, but it was not available

So guys, any ideas where i go from here? I need to hunt the aunts/uncles down and talk to them i think!! lol There is not even one match on here for ANY of them!! Strange eh?

Sorry for my typo guys!! I have to blame the heat ;)

Thanks

Moody Blue Report 29 Jun 2009 22:02

maybe the reason they couldn't find the marriage for George and Maria is because it's not them......its John and Maria:-

MARRIAGE Dec 1895

GORE JOHN Gloucester 6a 585
KNIGHT MARIA Gloucester 6a 585

Memo to Annie................
work slower,read twice and type correctly once.:}

Saves money that way!!

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Report 1 Jul 2009 09:32

LOL- I know I am a flake at times-

Brenda- That is the GRO reference that i used- his name was John George and I typed that in, but seen as every time he appears on a census he referrs to him self as George, I feel it only fitting that I referr to him Also as george.

So the GRO ref you have noted, was not available when requested..... Strange eh?

Thanks

FannyByGaslight Report 1 Jul 2009 11:18

Then I would write to Gloucester reg office with all the relevant details
Names.....
Quarter......
Year.......
Dont give ref numbers as reg offices dont use them.
Enclose an S.A.E,your phone number and a"please would you search your register letter",lots of thank yous for your time etc,and a cheque for £7 and if they cant find it you will get the cheque back.
