Thanks for that. And did you like the similarity between the family given names???

Sorry I am horribly lost with your place names. I used google maps and Ancestral Atlas quite a lot. That tells me where things are and it's good to be able to work out distances between towns sometimes.

Yes I'm still awake. Spent lots and lots of time reading the circus information. There is a book in particular which is mentioned on that web site. I trawled through 17 pages of posts to see if I could find any Kimberleys but nothing there.

"Info first: Just looking through the given names of the Dickinson family. You may be interested to know that MIE Kimberley was the mother of the following children....: are you ready...

Nellie, Albert, Walter, Mabel, George, Beatrice, Elsie, Shirley and Royal (Roy). Need say no more do I!!!"

There are a lot of clues ito be found in names. Hence my look at the Dickins family. Totally discounted now of course but worth following through.

Marriages Mar 1863 (>99%)
GRIFFIN Jane Shelding Wolverhampton 6B 523
MADELY William Wolverhampton 6b 523
PAYNE Walter Bryant Wolverhampton 6b 523
WHITNEY Emma Wolverhampton 6b 523 "

The reason I was surprised is that they were in Shrewsbury (he was the fathers apprentice and took over the business.) but then realised family was also in Wolverhampton.

Hi there, yes it was the accent! Its raining here and cold.

I wonder where Christine is today? I left her to it yesterday, so will have to have a trawl through to see what she found. It will take me forever. Perhaps by the time you awake in the morning there will be some more for you ...

Oh dear! My Australian accent gives me away every time. Brisbane, it's sort of north east from here by that much on the map. Nice and warm, as she thinks about putting an extra jumper on over the jamas.

Ok It's all printed off. If anything happens to this thread (and you have nooooo idea of the sort of mangy critters who lurk around these places!!!!!), I will still have all the info.

And I work better from paper than I do from a screen.

Now I have a question for you and some information.

Info first: Just looking through the given names of the Dickinson family. You may be interested to know that MIE Kimberley was the mother of the following children....: are you ready...

Nellie, Albert, Walter, Mabel, George, Beatrice, Elsie, Shirley and Royal (Roy). Need say no more do I!!!

And the question. Please tell me what you mean by this.

Hope you had a good sleep. I'm just off to my bed. I gave up about 5 hours ago, so don't thank me, thank Christine. She's been like a woman possessed!

Assume you are in Oz by the way. My hubby's got relatives north of Brisbane and has just come back from a trip to see them. It's a small world on the internet isn't it.

Will keep my eye on your posting. Have a busy day!

Oh I don't know reeeeeeeaallly. I give someone a simple task and look what's happened!!

Blimey! Pages and pages of information. You do realize I now have to read, absorb, sort, and write all this stuff into my book. Then I have to put it onto the computer. Then I have to source the certificates or transcriptions and also...........

Whoever you are, where ever you are. I love you both, and anyone else who has contributed. You have exceeded my expectations.

On first read through I can see you have MIEKs family pinpointed beautifully. And no I do not have even half this information. I am going to be very busy over the next few days.

I will try to answer any questions as I sort the information.

Thank you.

I'm awake, I'm awake! Whooo hooo you have been busy. My many thanks, even before I go read all this stuff.

Christine, I can't believe you're still at it! You lost me about 3 pages back. What's the reference to Roots Chat - it wouldn't let me read it.

Val is going to get a headache sorting this lot out. Well done you.
