Hi,I have been looking for my Dad's birth for quite a few years now,he was John Smith McPhail his birth date 17 August 1907
he always said he was born in Northern Ireland but I'm not getting anywhere.
His parents were Archibald McPhail d.o.b.1874 married to Christina Craig Smith d.o.b.1874,they were married 20 October 1902 in Govan,Lanarkshire,Scotland,my dad had a older brother
Alexander born 1904 in Patrick,,Lanarkshire,any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

Maureen have you checked on Scotland's People just to be sure he wasn't born there, especially as his parents married there and brother born there.

Hi and thank you to everybody who gave me guidence for searching for my Dads birth.
Have recieved to-day in the post MY DAD'S cercificate from Oxford house,Belfast,it cost £12 for the long version and well worth it as I now have the address he was born at.
Can anybody advise me as to how I go about finding out who was living at 70 Bloom Street,Belfast in 1907 as I need to find out if my Grand parents were staying with relatives there.
In 1904 I know they were living in Patrick,Lanarkshire and by 1911 census they were living in Bootle,Liverpool,would welcome any advise.
