Oh JC,

I'm sorry but your information is a little vague.... i take it your new here?

Please could you furnish me with the information from the cert, it's no good just taking someone's word for it, if you cannot get the info i expect you to order the cert yourself and give me the info fairly soon !!.

Also, and this is very important...... you need to remove your personal email address from this thread, it's against the Tea's & Carrot's of this site to post your personal details.

If you would prefer to post your home address and phone number instead i can come round and have a chat.

Just from the vague info you have given me i am fairly certain we are def related.... so hi couz and welcome to the family init.

If you could open your tree for me, i can then copy all the people you think you are related to into my tree....and then i can go for the rest of my life thinking i'm related too.

WayneTracey I think my No.1's great-grandmother may be the illegitimate daughter of your Mr Eedle, her name was Jane or Mary Smith, she came from the same part of England and she was born in the 1800s and there is no father's name on her birth certificate, or that's what his cousin's wife says, she said she had a copy of it, so I feel sure it must be the same person, please would you email me at [email protected]

I was told that Mr Wood started his romance in the early spring with Miss Leaf, they were reportedly well and truly married by late spring, but in the early autumn of that year the romance began to shrivel and they parted company in the late autumn.

I have so far been unable to find any fruit of their union...

Freebmd marriages Dec 1844 William Hay married Harriott Hay could be Tracey's lost shortened surname and could be connected to Fanny's Miss Leaf. I wonder if there are any Fig Leafs out there

Well if you are really stuck you could go to next years WDYTYA and ask an expert. Too late for this year.
I had a good day and spent too much money.

Oh I forgot to add that rumour also has it that he may have married a Miss Leaf ?

But I have not had any luck chasing that one yet..

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 28 Feb 2010 23:43

ahhh i bet thats had you running rings round that tree.

Now if you can't solve your brach issues it leaves you no choice but to try and chop down the problem bit by bit.

I have to admit i am a little stumped with your problem, but i suppose i could chip away at it and try and peg something down for you?

Def Wood, family roumour has it that Mr Wood lived in or near Epping Forest and I have been looking for branches coming off his tree for some time now.
Just thought someone may be able to help?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 28 Feb 2010 23:24

Wood or Hood?

I know there used to be a Mr R Hood who lived Sherwood way...

Could he be the man your looking for?

As we have been unable to help on your Haystack /Eedle prob...

How about we look for some of my Wood family from Epping Forest way then?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 28 Feb 2010 23:09

add facility?

Jones's in Wales? my god wonders will never cease...i didn;t realise there were Jones's in wales....

I have a welsh Thomas Thomas and a Morgan Morgan, i can trade for 2 Jones's.

I have also got many many many hundreds of Pilkingtons from Lancashire, (the only name to beat jones in that county i believe)

So you kinda agree with me then, it's time to delete this tree and use someone else's...

I wonder does this mean i can finally have the blonde hair and blue eyes i've always wanted??

What new "add"facility??

Whaa,whered dat come from?

lancashireAnn

lancashireAnn Report 28 Feb 2010 22:53

you can have one of the Jones sections of my tree if you like (I have 2 separate ones - one Welsh, 1 Liverpool) they are just as easy to find as Mr Eedle. Actually the welsh one is not too bad - Mr Jones, a Butcher living in the Butchers Arms (actually true!)

ps I like this 'new' add facility - the font is actually large enough to read

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 28 Feb 2010 20:37

OMG i was looking for 2 people...are you now suggesting there are 4??

Could my relative have changed names?

I'm so confused..... i might just delete my tree and copy someone else's!
