You could research the address at which he was living up to his death by looking at the ER for the years up to 1939 - and hope that he was living there then

That's the only hope you have of finding out where he was between 1911 and 1941......................at least until 2022, when the 1921 census MAY be relaeased

Have you done anything at all to try to find info about James's siblings? And his half-siblings?

i am supposing that i have done the wrong thing yet again, i am simply looking for living relatives who may be able to fill the blank canvas which is my mams family, i was lucky contacting someone who hadn't been on line for some time and i hoped it may happen again

i have bee looking for info about my maternal g'father james mckie, born gatesheasd 1892, left sometime after 1918, believe he went to midlands, died coventry 1941, his death was registered by j mckie, son

Is there any occupation for Larry given on the marriage cert or does it just show deceased?

Trying to trace James McKie .(1889 or 1886) (my grandfather)
Married June 1919 to Rachel Campbell in Colne Lancashire and on certificate shown as age 30 and father Larry McKie (deceased)
Died Burnley Lancashire 1940 aged 54
Thought to come from Newcastle/Durham area. No other known relatives. Only Larry Mckie I can find is a Lawrence McKie born Newcastle 1846 and is on
1851 census aged 4 All Saints Newcastle
1871 census (aged 22) in All Saints Newcastle
1901 census (aged 45) with wife and no children.All Saints.
Want to locate where he was inbetween these years and if he had a child named James
I have been looking for this information off and on for over 20 years and never found any links
Can anyone help?
