Sarah Ann Campkin was born in Lemsford Hertfordshire - father Thomas as you say..

I have Marriage Cert. for Sarah and George Denham 1884 - 5 children inc. twins.

Have Death Cert. for George 1896 - Sarah is on the cert.

Also have Marriage Cert for second marriage to Henry Archibald Campbell 1899
Another child with Henry - John Campbell b. 1903 - I have the GRO for him in Holborn.

By deduction we thought Sarah's death would be between 1903 and 1911 as he has a Mary as "wife" although we haven't found a marriage for them so far.

Islington is out I will check out Shoreditch and Holborn.in case I have missed something.

The 1911 census has been written over and Mary has no maiden name.

My cousin and I are beginning to think there might be something odd with this marriage and the census - hope we are wrong.

Even started looking for Sarah's death after1911.

I sent for the certificate above Islington and it was the wrong one. Islngton Infirmary - address 13 Charles Street Islington.

Struggling to find the death of Sarah Ann Campbell nee Denham. Her husband George Denham died 1896 when the twins were very young. In 1899 she re-married to a Henry Archibald Campbell they then had a son John born 1903;

In the l911 census Henry Archibald Campbell is recorded with a Mary (no surname given) The twins Tilly and Eva now 19 (their birth names were Ellen Mary and Florence Harriet). So somewhere between 1903 and 1911 Sarah dies.
I have ordered one Death Cert for Sarah which was wrong.

Florence was my Grandmother and the interesting thing is that my grandmother was always known as Eva and have only just found out. where is started. Ellen was changed to Matilda on school records and later this was altered to Tilly. I think it started when Sarah met Henry.

I am looking for Ellen Mary Denham born to Sarah and George after 1911 -
She is my grandmothers sister and for as long as I can remember she was called Eva and I never new why. This all became clear last week when when I realised that George died very young and Sarah married again. Also found school records of an Archibald taking the twins to school and they were names Eva and Matilda. Henry Archibald Campbell was Sarah's new husband. Later when Sarah died and Henry Archibald Campbell remarried to a Mary they are 1911 census with Eva and Tilly aged 19. It is after this that I am interested in so thank you for your suggestions especially the ER

I saw a message left on Rootschat by a Mat who seems to have a link called Matildakin. As far as I know I have never left a message on Rootschat can anybody help me here. As I am puzzled my the message I have seen.

Also found from an elderly aunt that the twins did not get on - very unusual for twins.
