Nice one Elizabeth.

Maryb.

P.S I have been reading about the sugar bakers and their accidents, they were horrific.
After 1850 parishes East of Bremen Hannover became the main places most important for outmigration and one place Wehldorf was the where people mainly went to liverpool.
Before that the region between Lower Weser and Elbe River known as the Elbe-Weser Drieck was major area of origin for german migrants into the british sugar industry these places Also in Hannover.

It has been bugging me that we have not found John/Johan in 1901 if he did not die til 1916.

I have just come across this one previously discarded as female

On looking at the original document gender is not mentioned

hi mary did a further check on the name you mentioned think its got links to holland? mmmmmm

In reards to famuly gossip and heresay they have said they think it was a prussion link?? we know that john was from hannburg but his family???
""Prussia (German: ); Latin: Borussia, Prutenia; Latvian: Prūsija; Lithuanian: Prūsija; Polish: Prusy; Czech: Prusko; Old Prussian: Prūsa; Hungarian: Poroszország) was a historic state originating out of the Duchy of Prussia and the Margraviate of Brandenburg.

This state had for centuries substantial influence on German and European history. The last capital of the state of Prussia was Berlin.""
