I think this is going to be quite a search with all the mis-spellings and mis-translations!!

Your dust storm made our news this morning, pictures all over the newspapers etc.

I guess we have to keep our fingers crossed that you don't get some heavy rain in the next few days?!

Hy Sylvia
A question, how did you work out Matilda Rapacioli & Giovanni because I just went to have a look on BMD and there are quite several born in Holborn, I suppose we would only know if we could find the 1881 census upwards, what do you think.
I have just been looking on IGI trying to find the family on 1881 census and there came up a birth for Domenica born 1874 London - died 5 Nov 1930 - Spouse George William Fagg (close but I have down William Foster Fagg on the marriage in Dec 1895 and surely there could not be two Demenica's) I couldn't find a birth for a William Foster in 1872 or even a George William that I thought could be a possibility. William is mentioned on both the 1901 & 1911 Census so that is the way I am going to stay.
Also it give the names of the parents, two choices of course so it is not that straighforward Guiseppe or Joseph Rapaccioli and Marie Strong or Cross. Do you think we could find out any census for these two people that correspond with our names at all. I am going to give it a try for the 1881 census if that is possible.

Yes, I noticed the difference in ages as I have her down on the 1911 census as 37 which would make it about right. Thank you for that, I would never have been able to find her under that name, how do you do it!!
I agree, I think the other two must be siblings, wouldn't be many of that name I shouldn't think. At last I am getting somewhere.

You wouldn't believe the weather here, it is our Spring and as per usual it seems to jump up and down, we have 20 degrees one day and the next 30 which is a lot of difference, yesterday we had 24 and now I am sitting in the house with my cardigan on. They told us that the temp with go up again at the weekend to 27/28 and back down again to 18/19 I suppose that is better than our summers as Jan/Feb are so hot and humid it is horrible going outside.

I re-checked the census image

Domenica was 26 not 20, in 1901

meaning she was born about 1875 (not 1881)

here on the west coast we are having lovely summer-type weather!

Today is the first day of fall, but you would never believe it!!

The temperature was up around 24C, same forecast for tomorrow, slightly cooler but still warm and sunny until early next week at least.

The nights are cooler of course!

sounds as though you've got a lot of hard work to repeat!

Thank you Sylvia, that was quick. My computer closed down on me after I had sent my message through to you and when I came back online there you were, really appreciate it.
Bye the way what is the weather like in Canada, we have just had severe red duststorms and when we woke up this morning at 5am it was so red. It is now 2 43 pm and at last it seems to be clearing. George & I decided the other day to do some cleaning and tidying up the garden, have been working very hard, washed the house down and did the windows and I was up a ladder cleaning under the eve's, now it is all for nothing. Have to start that hard work all over again.
Hope it is better where you are
Kind regards
Julia

I have to inform you that the spelling of the surname of my grandfather and his family is spelt wrongly. The surname should be spelt 'Hearnden'. Also, his estimated birthyear is wrong. Ernest was born in 1900 not 1892. Ihave a copy of his birth certificate to prove this. I do hope that this can be corrected. Many Thanks A W Hearnden

I have a married couple Mabel Grace & Ernest Albert Hearnden and I am trying to find out a little about them. Mabel was born 1900 Elham Kent and checking the 1911 Census her parents are William Fagg b1872 and Dominica Amelia b1874, sister Elsie May b1898 born Elham Kent.
Ernest Albert Hearnden b1900 Elham Kent - I cannot find the 1911 census for him so I am working in the dark with him and wondered if you could help please.
Kind regards
Julia
