Find Ancestors

My sister sent this old thread to me and was amazed that somebody else was looking for details on our grandfather George Evan Tyrer.
It would appear that he abandoned a young family in about 1934 (my Dad was a baby at the time). My Dad was told his father had died but we find no record of George Evan Tyrer's death.
I'm interested if anybody has more information since 2009

George Evan Tyrer B. 3 March 1898 his father William Henry Tyrer b. 1877. his mother Florence Annie Brown B. 1 January 1898.

This George is a kitchen porter and has served for 5.5yrs. ????

I've done a quick non-paying 1911 search for George and it seems that his parents are William and Florence.

Here she is, so she didnt marry again

Might be worth looking abroad. Also found no death for his wife in the indexes. Maybe she re-married?

Might not be him but you never know its worth keeping hold of until everything else is ruled out

I dont suppose you know if he served in WW1, he would have been very young but old enough I guess

Have you seen someone else on here has him in their tree?

George's Parents were William Henry Tyrer (born 1878) and Florence Cooper (born 1880). I have information about his siblings already. I am maily interested in George himself when he died etc. He is a brother of my grandmother. That has appeared while tracing my tree. We never knew he existed. None of our family photos include him so he left the family home. Any information abouot him or wife or children really.
