whereabouts of George William Burville And his wife name unknown but her maiden name was Hambrooke had 7 daughters and 2 sons in the Folkestone or Dover area children were called Gladys Hilda Ivy Grace Annie (my granny) Margery Alec (died in his twenties) Percy(d age 6) Ethel(dage16) cannot find anything in census

The birth and marriage registrations are from www.freebmd.org.uk ......... a free site that you can search yourself.


You can buy a certificate for £7


If you buy George's marriage certificate, that will tell you the name of his father


You can then use that as the reference for buying the birth certificate which will tell you the maiden name of his mother


and this prove or disprove that we have found the correct person on the censuses.


Otherwise, this is all supposition.

My OH has Kent FHS CD giving marriage of George William Burvill (age 29), a Labourer - son of John Burvill (a Carrier) marrying

Mary Ann Hambrook (age 27), daughter of Richard Hambrook (a Labourer) on 29th January 1898.

I think George and Mary Ann (Hambrook) emigrated to Australia where Mary died in Brisbane 1940.
