this is NOT a safe site, and it really is unwise to post too much information on here in case it gets on to google or one of the other search engines.


I'm afraid pianogirl has a problem in wanting to find information ...... some was posted on the thread she put up earlier this year, but she does not appear to have returned to that thread

I think I will pm her and tell her how to return to that thread (that's if I can work this new messaging system!)

After I posted earlier I did read through this thread and there is something about adoptions on page 2 but cannot see that it should cause any problems. I'll not mention it again - just see if pianogirl drops in to explain.

......... nothing mentioned about adoptive parents in the header message, just how difficult it is to expect to get living people just wandering by and spotting a posting when less than 1% of members look on these boards.

Sorry pianogirl - I have no idea why you have posted such a comment. I wasn't aware that anyone had assumed anything about adoption. This is just a thread that Sylvia started in an effort to help newcomers to the boards which we nudge up to the top as and when we are available to do so.

Please do not assume that everyone trying to find a parent has been adopted, like me they may have had a parent leave. It is not possble to find any information through social services or adoption agencies if you have not been adopted!!!!!! so do not assume!!!I do not feel guilty trying to find my birth Mother as it is for serious medical reasons that I need to find out my maternal sides medical history. If they have another family then they should have been more honest about their past, telling lies or omitting to say anything can cause untold harm to all parties. Pianogirl
