You've all made great progress since I last looked. I have entered it on my computer program and it has all fallen into place.
A few snippets I've since found, but can't quite link yet.

John Haggis of Three Colt St (same street as BUDD)
buried 8 Oct 1811, St Anne Limehouse age 69

Hannah Green of St Geo in the East
died 20 Dec 1882 age 70
body to School of Anatomy

Hannah Green of Ratcliff
8 Dec 1898 aged 83 buried Ilford
Stepney Union, Bromley Workhouse

Charles Richard Green
died Shadwell, buried St Dunstan
21 Dec 1855 aged 42

Yes Aunty, I'm coming around to your thinking.
Edward Hunt Green bapt 13 Nov 1814, Chelsea MDX
to Wm Green, gardiner, Charles St and Charlotte.
With Hannah Haggis marrying Edward and Charles Green and having 3 daughters named Charlotte, it fits that Ed and Chas Green were PROBABLY sons of Wm and Charlotte.

How on earth did you connect William and Charlotte. I knew William was Edwards father from Edward's marriage certificate. I have searched and searched for a common denominator between Edward and Charles but it just wouldn't fall into place. Now there is a spouse to link the family it will make research easier.

Also need to work out which Hannah Green died when and where. Mother Hannah or daughter Hannah who married James.

Still grappling with all the information about the Budd family from LadyKira. She is very right about the links with seafaring occupations for the family. The info on the Docklands Ancestors web site makes fascinating reading.

I am still interested in how Matthew Pemberton fits into all of this. And I also have another mystery about children of James Carter and Hannah Maria Green. I know who they are but need to do more indepth researching about connections with Australia.

Are you still up Auntie?
Some of us have to work you know.I was going to suggest trying to fit it ito a mini tree on my family treemaker to make it easier to see.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 2 Jan 2010 21:03

Hi There LK, Yes it is just morning time over here. I have not used family tree maker. I just have the normal Ancestry tree and the GR tree.

I'll have a look and see what I can work out. It might make it easier than hand writing it all then having to convert it to computer.

Edit: Had a play and a think. I can't face starting this up again. What I will do is put the info into my tree and then make the tree public. It goes against my better judgement however my tree is so small I don't think anyone will gain very much from it. I understand that it takes a while for others to be able to view the tree. I'll just set the process in motion and monitor when you lot are able to see what we have done. This might have to wait for a while because I go away for a few days soon. Not certain whether I will have internet access where I am going. See what I can achieve in the next couple of days.

Paul Report 2 Jan 2010 21:47

As I said, I have a few snippets I've since found, and can't quite link yet but the birth of Ed Green, 1814 has parents Wm and Charlotte - no proof it is him.
I need to confirm Charles parents.

The 1861 Census for Hannah Green said she was the Head, but married - so Charles is still alive somewhere???

Paul

Paul Report 2 Jan 2010 21:54

Ooops - Charles Green was son of Henry Green, can't trust hunches. The name may be a coincidence or they are more distantly related.

Hi Paul, I saw that too. I am not certain is that means she was "married" as opposed to being "single" or if she actually had a husband. Does the census status say "widow" or "widower" if that is the case.

We really need to expand Edward's family. I am going back to my old thread to see if there is anything there.

Oh yes there is an old thread but it is based around the Kimberley/Carter families with a few Greens chucked in for entertainment.

Tut!
Talking when I am mid flow.

Added a few bassingers to get a feel for that side. Got to finish off here then go home but I will keep at it.

Someone on records has a disc for lighter men and watermen and the apprenticeshipbindings.

AuntySherlock Report 2 Jan 2010 22:19

Paul, Do you remember when we first talked about the Green/Bassinger families and I was uncertain whether my Greens were descended from Edward??? .

I have just found the research that prompted that thought. It adds more complications to the mix. In this lot Hannah M Green is the wife of George Green.

I have removed the additional bits of chat from the info and I know the researcher will not mind me using it again. ~~~~~~

The point I am making is. Was Hannah Maria Green Edward's daughter. Or do we have two different families or even three. Edward, Charles and dare I say it George Green. Sons of William and Charlotte.

All have been born died and married in the Middlesex area.

Sorry Lady Kira, Interrupted your thought process. I am saving all of this to file. Don't trust certain beings with my important information. I have been back and looked at the previous thread. Info above.

I'm thinking of changing my name to Smith!! They seem to have less problems. I also have my very first thread on file. I think that is where the original Green information is.

Go for it with the Bassingers. Just remember they are spelt Bassenger, Bassinger and Basinger. And there are quite a few more of them than I realised.

I was going to finish with this part of my tree a month ago and selfishly start on my side of the forest. Oh ha, just wait till I start whinging about folks from Bristol. Now I need to put that lot on hold until I am satisfied I have this lot correct.

As I said at the top of page 7. Charles Green was the son of Henry. Edward was the son of WIlliam. So the connection is not obvious apart from the fact that they both married Hannah Haggis.
I also don't see a connection between the family of Hannah Maria Green (maiden name unknown) and our Hannah Elizabeth Green nee Haggis.
Two women named Hannah married two men named Green.
I'm really only interested in the Green and Haggis lines and I will keep looking, but I'm getting in trouble for not painting the inside of the house during my holidays!!

Looks like you'll have to paint the house. These questions have been here for hundreds of years another couple of days won't make much difference.

Hannah Maria Green 1839 is the daughter of Hannah Elizabeth Haggis and Edward Green. Hannah Maria married James Carter. If I have the connections correct.

Have entered the first three pages of the data. Stuck on Charles Green, father Henry. Nearest I can find is Charles Green born 1813 father Henry. There are not many Henry Greens between 1800 and 1813.
