Maybe you can help, i have relative Douglas Robson born 1835 in Newcastle England who was a Merchant Seaman, he sailed on a ship called the Cairngorm wich arrived in Sydney in 1860, the trail then runs cold as he is nowehere to be found, could it it be he settled in Australia?
Sorry this all i have, maybe you could do a look up to try to find him.

I thought I had found his death in NSW in 1895 but there was a matching birth in 1895 so that Douglas died as a baby.

He could have gone to another state, of course. But I can't see him in WA, Vic or Qld. Not that that means he wasn't there necessarily!

Can you try for a burial in Victoria if you have any such records.I'm interested in a Catherine Rogerson(nee Bryden) born c.1828 in Dumfriesshire Scotland though on the passenger list on the ship Port Augusta arriving Hobart from London 31-1-1887 she gives her birth year as 1839.Her daughter Agnes Bryden Brook was buried in Bunyip,Victoria in 1926.Many thanks,

John and his wife are also interred, in a different section, at Boroondarra.

Hi Cherilyn, I'm not sure you can help me with this one, (because of the dates) but thought I'd give it a try! As some of the people are alive I'll PM you with those details, but they start with one Edna Johnson born c 1922 in England. Edna came to aus as an orphan when she was quite young. She married a Barry Haydon I think in NSW and had several children (and those are the details I'll pm you). What I'm trying to find if possible is her marriage and death, the latter I think happening about 1996 again in NSW. I'd love to find her children as they are cousins of mine that I never knew about! His marriage or death cert would give you more clues about his life but Qld certs are quite pricey.

Was he previously married? 1924 seems late for a 1st marriage if he was born in 1873...

Henrietta Maud died in 1961 in Qld (reg C1065), dau of Wm & Henrietta Jane (nee BEASLEY). She was born in Qld in 1896 (reg C10061). Her parents married in Qld in 1893 (C1521).
