This is just to confuse us further.
Remember William and Ann Chamberlain she was born Sheffield 1838 and William supposed to be 1843 Bangor Flintshire Wales (Which I can't find any record of)In 1881 they had Lucy Ann born 1877 Newark/LittleBennington.

Well I have found her baptism on LDS which I take with a pinch of salt,it says Lucy Anne baptised by Thomas and Anne Chamberlain.BUT.

Then I found the Ann born Sheffield
Horton in Ribblesdale
Wood Hut
District 10 image 15
Thomas Chamblain born 1826 Ashby Leicestershire a labourer.
Ann Chamblain 1839 Sheffield
George H 1863 Hull
Emma 1866 Nottingham
Thomas 1868 Lancs
John born Horton age 1 month (I think this is Joseph 1870 Settle) on 1881 census.
This is the same family as on 1881 when Ann is with William.Even though it says Chamblain instead of Chamberlain.

I still can't find marriage for thse two though.

Well done, Mary. I searched 1871 for ages.

That certainly looks promising.

Bless you all for helping me to untangle this mess. I do have the Death cert for Ann and it says Age 33 Wife of John Chamberlain Ag Lab, Cause English Cholera, Informant Prudence Jackson in attendence at Upleatham. I have no idea who Prudance is and there is no proper address for the event.
I'm off now to see what I can find on Prudance, and maybe look for a marriage for Ann and Samuel. Wish me luck :<)
Regards Sue.

This has come up after I entered 'Bowes' in the search box, but can't find the reference! Have a feeling my Bowes are linked to Guisborough.
Can anyone help, please? :-)
