Hello Emma
Am seeking info on my gt grandfather Joseph Robertson who was a Master Mariner . He married Ellen Elizabeth Waters Sept 8 1857 in London and his father,Alexander ( also a Master Mariner) was present at the wedding. My grandmother,Eliza Charlotte Robertson bSept 28 1864 other siblings were Alexander John b1860 ,Joseph b1866.Minnie Emma b1868.Ada Ward b1871 and Robert William b1872 all were born in Glasgow. So far have not been able to trace any Birth/ Death records of either Joseph or Alexander and assume they were both born in Scotland . .
Would be most grateful for any help

Hi Paula,

Just trying to make sense of this so do correct me if I am wrong...........you are looking for your Great Grandfather's parents.

Grandfather ........ Colin Tait Campbell
His father i.e. Great Grandfather ......James Campbell
His father i.e. Great Great Grandfather .....John Campbell

Please note different spelling on Scotlandspeople..........

John Campbell married Margaret Aitken Tait 1881 not
John Campbell married Margaret Aitkin Tait 1881

This thread is closed now so you would be better to re-post this on trying to find or records.

There are 75 John Campbell births in Scotland 1850-1852
