We actually have his army discharge papers Linda. I wrote requesting information several years ago and was told it had to be done through a solicitor. Possibly with changes due to Freedom of Information act that may be different now. I'll need to do a bit of digging. |

Yep I've tried it all and got nowhere Liz. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order birth records for Jill and Kenneth. It's the only sure way I'm going to confirm them for my tree. Thought I'd just have another bash on the boards in case anyone new with the info I seek had signed up since I last tried. Sadly it seems Bernard has made a great job of covering his tracks when he migrated north to Scotland in the late 1940s. |

Looking for relatives of Bernard Harris b. 1909 Shoreham, West Sussex. Married Doris Brown 1934 and divorced c1948. May have had two children. Possible names Jill b. 1935 and Kenneth b. 1937. both in Sussex. |
