Interesting story Jonesey........might have guessed that your marriage would not have gone without a 'story' attached to it...... :-D

Wow, that was a rush this morning........but all sorted now thank goodness. The physios have been absolutely great and they can see an improvement in OH's mobility. My part of course, is to continue nagging him to do his exercises..... :-D

Back later ~~~~

Popping back to the what happened on your wedding day theme.

The minister who married Mrs J and I tried to marry me off to her sister. He knew Mrs J's family very well as all of them were regular members of his congregation. He obviously became a bit confused when he asked me, "Do you, David take xxxxx to be your lawful wife?" Fortunately I was paying attention and as xxxxx was my intended bride's sister I replied "No." which threw him for a moment until he realised what he had just done. We all laughed and he asked the question correctly second time round.

Another interesting thing about the ceremony were the vows that we made. At that time I was an aetheist but Mrs J wanted to marry in church. I have never been one who believes in being dishonest so I went to the minister well before the marriage to discuss the situation with him. Ron, the minister, was a great chap who later became a good friend said that he had no problem marrying us but that because of my views he felt that the vows we were to make should be modified from the usual. Consequently Mrs J made her vows to God and I whereas I made them to her only. As far as I know nobody but us three noticed the difference.

Ron's attitude was instrumental in getting me to change my views and beliefs later in life.

Thanks Dea

Everything will go well. They are only keeping an eye on me because I don't fit the profile of people who usually get this condition. Also means I get to spend some time with Mum as she lives not too far away from Liverpool so make a week of it :-D

I'll go in and say

"Hi James, How are you keeping?, I'm fine",

then fill in some paperwork and say see you in three months. He's very good to me. I'm his healthiest patient with this condition :-D

I was speaking metaphorically Gins... I have actually never been to a transfer station despite working for a Recycling company.

Rubbish collection 120L MGB, is once a week but our small amount of rubbish = a collection every three months so we put in timber off cuts, tree branches etc.

Recycling 240L MGB once a fortnight.

The birds would probably like to have a shotgun so as they could stifle you..

Morning all. I haven't done a runner, my router has broken and I couldn't get on t'internet. Spent all day trying to resolve matters including trying other routers that I had but no joy. My ISP has agreed to send me a new router but I am not likely to get it before Friday. Fortunately I am just in range of a public Bt Wi-Fi hotspot

Good morning all ! :-)

Sylvia - you have made my day !! :-D

I am going to have the Huevos rancheros today and you have typed it correctly on the menu !! :-D :-D :-D

For as long as I can remember, you have been mis-typing it as huevAs which, of course is a type of fish roe at best, or at worst, a very naughty word ;-) ........ I never liked to correct you but as a 'Spanish speaker' it always jumped off the page at me! - Today, you have it correct and I am REALLY enjoying them :-D :-D :-D

Thank you Sylvs,

Dea Xxx
