Thanks for looking Dea, I thought I was going nuts!

I have started buying gifts today, don't normally start until 2 weeks before.

Niece who's 12 - lovely set of nail polish's and a UV polish dryer

Nephew who's 14 - really funky 'hoodie' and some Tommy cologne spray

Can't believe I started so early

Well, It's definitely not on the website Ginns so you will have to make another trip back. :-(

It was a beige ish colour. Length below the knee, some sort of tight knitted material and had a collar, buttons all the way down the front

Had another look earlier but still no luck

I could take a look Gins but would need a FULL description e.g. 'how' long ? belted or buttoned etc. ? Colour ? Knitted or fabric ? What kind of a 'coat collar' ? etc. etc. ;-) :-D

P.S. - Mind you, it may be easier just to nip back and buy it :-D

Dea

I tried to buy MiL xmas gift yesterday online from M&S

I couldn't see it online (saw it in store last week)

It's smart long cardigan with a collar that looks like a coat £49.99

I've looked under: coats, jackets and cardigans but no luck :-S

I quite like winter Dea but snow and ice is a real pain in the butt

Had a great time as always and dropped off a whole bunch of Christmas and birthday cards. I can't tell you how many never arrive when we post to Wales :-|

That was a long trip Ginns - I hope you had a good time <3

I hate this cold weather - If it wasn't for having to pick up the grandchildren from school I would hibernate for the winter and never go anywhere ;-)

Travel was really bad this weekend

Roads 'closed'

Took three/half hours as opposed to 1/14 to get to Wales

Thought I better pop in and say hello.

Poor Fred was on page 4 :-(

I am getting better slowly and going out for a walk every day to build up my strength.

M and L are coming for lunch tomorrow so lots of cuddles are planned :-D :-D :-D :-D

GINS, recommend this to the sales and traffic departments of the merchants

you buy from. It's not only good manners it's good sense, pays dividends. ;-)

Thanks David

I agree, there should be some way of getting it into the hall. What happens when the plumber comes to install the loo and needs to get it upstairs!

At the very least, it should be mentioned on the website that it will be left outside.

H&S rules are OK in the obvious situations but there are times when
common sense should prevail.
He should had a little sack barrow to wheel it to your door GINS

Unbelievable!!!!!

Just had a new toilet delivered, came on a pallet and the big burley man left it on the drive and started to walk off!

I shouted him back and asked if he could bring it into the hall and he told me he was not allowed to.

I told him I stand no chance of lifting it, not with my psoriatic arthritis in my hands. Told me again he was not allowed to lift it.

I said that I would have to ring someone to help and started to close the door. He then walked back and started separating it into smaller bits and put it in the hall

Bless him

I know about H&S/manual handling and such but seriously how do they expect a woman to get it into the house!

Well - I can't find her on 'the dark side' but that is not unusual for me ;-)

Anyway, the important thing is that she has managed to get on there so she must be feeling a bit better ?? :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Well I have to confess I'm guilty of posting about the same people more than once.

I've been off GR for quite some time and recently re-subscribed. People have been kind enough to respond to my request for assistance and gently draw my attention
to the fact I asked the same questions in 2012. I apologise.
