hi my leonard had a brother called vibert and did call his son vibert vibert is such a unusual name

Dajean you won't find any other Viberts with a father Leonard.

Apologies if I am wrong, but perhaps you are new to researching family history.

This is the only birth of a Vibert Ibbotson, as Astra found:

The above tells us that his birth was registered in the June quarter of 1918 (and I see from his death entry that his date of birth 12th May), in West Derby (which was the registration district for part of Liverpool), and his mother's maiden name was Hughes. The reference numbers 8b/366 will be needed if you want to order the birth certificate.

But it's pretty certain that this is his parents' marriage:

On the census records posted here, his father Henry is born Royston, Yorkshire, so that ties in with your assumption that they were originally a Yorkshire family. It all seems quite safe to me. Leonard has a brother Vibert (mistranscribed as Bertie and Robert).

It's surprising how common some of these names are - there are plenty of Viberts around. I thought Saville was an unusual forename until I discovered thousands of them in Yorkshire.
