Find Ancestors

I am struggling to find info on Ada Lily Workman - born Dursley in
Dec Qtr 1899.

She married Jame Nash
Married in Weslyan Memorial Church, Gloucs.29.03.1919
Marriages Mar 1919
Nash James Workman Dursley 6a 476
Workman Ada L Nash Dursley 6a 476

I cannot find her inbetween these dates - could someone please check the 1901 & 1911 census.

She may be in Dursley.
Or -
She may be anywhere in the country as her grandfather was a Weslyan Minister & she could have been staying with him.

I believe her father was Joseph Workman born 1874 in Mold, Wales - who became a dental surgeon.
I am not sure yet of her mothers name.

Theres an Ada L Workman on 1901 census but with parents Sydney and Rececca...She was born in Smethwick, Staffs

No - sorry , not her.

I have tried looking via G.R. for Ada, but didnt come up with anything - however, I thought I would try one last time -

Her grand parents ( on her dads side) were:
Joseph Workman & Mary Hosegood

Have you found Joseph jnr on the 1901 census..He is in London as a Boarder...Hes a dental surgeon and single born in Wales...

Yep - thanks Jules I have found Joseph in 1901 & 1911 as dental student and then dental surgeon in Marlybone, London.

However - I cant find Ada or her mum at all...........

As Ada was born ( and married) in Dursley, I believe that I am most likely to find her there. and as Joseph in 1911 - aged 37 - is shown as single, it could well be that Ada's mum used her maiden name ( just to confuse us)....
On the other hand - Ada married as Ada Workman - so you would think that we could find her somewhere!

It was suggested you get Ada's birth certificate to find out who her mother was.
