William was the illigimate son of Alice Tarbuck and was christened RC in Wigan on 1 Jan 1836. There is no father mentioned on the birth records, I have seen the film.
He always said Robert Tarbuck, Farmer was his father but that was a lie. He is my GGGrandfather. His daughter Ellen Tarbuck was my GGrandmother.
