	Well, there is no death in Bakewell, or in the whole of Derbyshire for a Geoffrey Palmer (no middle initial), with an obvious realistic age. You need the marriage cert really. Jan

	Not quite sure what you mean, but if you search the trees on here and find someone who possibly has your ancestor in thier tree click on [ find out more ] purple box at side of the name of the tree owner and send a message. There is a chance you will not get a reply mainly because they have changed thier email address but you will no if the message has been read because the envelope in your sent messages beside the name will go white. jax

	You need to get the birth certificate for confirmation of his Mother. Have you got his marriage certificate, as this would confirm his Father's name?
