Fascinating!! My gt grandad was John Peake born in Moss Croft. He married Fanny Peake of Burton-on-Trent and had their first child, my grandfather, John Thomas Peake, in 1899.

John Peake (1868). Parents Richard Peake and Eliza Gorse. John married Martha Kempster in 1896.
Parents of Richard: -- Joseph Peake (1801) and Ann Pomphrett. Married 1824.
Parents of Joseph: -- Richard Peake (1771) and Alice Green. Married 1793.
Parents of Richard: -- Thomas Peake (1742) and Alice Smith. Married 1771.
Parents of Thomas: -- Richard Peak and Ann Percival.

Joseph Peake and Ann Pomphrett are my gt gt gt grandparents.
