My great grandmother was Bessie Ebdon, i have always been told her name was Elizabeth but looks like this is not the caes as this is where all the confusion has happened she was born abt 1895 Exeter Devonshire, her father was John Ebdon a bricklayer aged 40 yrs on the 1901 census, shown by Glitterbaby above, (Thank You Glitterbaby) i was hoping to find more info on this family as im really not doing so well.

Hi Sam, at least you're on the right track now!

Who was your greatgrandmother? (Helps us if we can place them together).

I had been researching my mothers side of the family and thought i was doing really well to get back to 1575 with help.
I was on this site about a month or so ago when it had been pointed out to me that i had picked up the wrong family line and all my research was wrong, you can only imagine how i felt so i ordered a couple of cert. to make sure and yes you guessed it, its all wrong.
I now have the correct details of my great grandmother but am having trouble trying to find her father, his name Jonh Ebdon born Exmouth abt. 1861 i have him on the 1901 census but that is all.
