Now interestingly ... an update! Just found this marriage:
Hester Twodell
England, Marriages, 1538–1973 marriage 13 Dec 1720 York, England
spouseJohn Fotherby
groom's nameJohn Fotherby bride's nameHester Twodell marriage date13 Dec 1720 marriage placeYork, England indexing project (batch) numberI03801-8 system originEngland-EASy source film number1469731
Also, her baptism states her father is William Tweddle and she seems to have had a brother born 1713.
Now I have looked on the IGI for her father and the NBI for her father and brother - nothing stands out. Trying to find a connection now between Esther Tweddle and the connection mentioned above!
Cheers,
Peter

Thank you for this ... interesting to say the least.
I have another post on here regarding Bethalina Chapman, my ancestor and granddaughter-in-law of Esther Langburn.
Now, when searching for Bethalina Chapman on the IGI I noticed a marriage in Stokesley, North Yorkshire in 1754. This was bettwen another (but no doubt relation) Bethalina Chapman and Horatio Tweddle.
Also, when Esther's grandson Nathaniel Langburn married Bethalina Chapman in Liverton in 1789 he stated he was living in Stokesley, Yorkshire.
Am I making unreasonable connections here? What do you think?

Hi there,
My ancestor John Langburn and his intended wife Esther Fotherley made a purchase of land in North Yorkshire in May 1727. John and Esther Langburn seem to have settled in Commondale in the Parish of Danby.
1) I can't find this marriage between John Langburn and Esther Fotherley and would love to do so. Can anyone help. The couple only had two known sons and the first was baptised at Glaisdale, Yorkshire on 4th June 1728.
2) Esther was a widow when she married John Langburn and her maiden name is not known. Her first husband, John Fotherley died in the summer of 1725 and Esther was was left land at Whitby, Aislaby and Castleton. John also left several properties to members of his family. After two years of mourning, which was probably expected, John Langburn and Esther were married. I am looking for Esther ?'s marriage to John Fotherley.
Thanks in advance for help.
Peter
