Can anyone help me with any info for Walter Hague or Haigh born Chapeltown Sheffield c1856, was married to a Mary Lambert around 1876 and had 3 children Elizabeth 1879 James 1881 and Lillian 1883, many thanks

Have you looked for them on any census ,The 1881 is free on Family Search site.

The marriage should be on FreeBMD and the cert should show his age and his fathers name.

What info do you actually want?

It is better to specify, so that time isn't spent looking for that which you already have.

If you wish to find his parents........buy the marriage cert, to find out his father's details (if known)

The marriage.....and all the info you need to order the cert.......will be on freebmd

Thats what i thought Shirley, have looked for a death between 1883 and 1887 but have not been able to find one for Mary who would only have been in her twentys, i know james only lived a couple of years and another GR member has the family in his tree showin Walter married to Jesse but Marys date of death as 1932

Now this walter is consistently Walter R/Robert so may be another guy

Divorce wasnt an option in the 1880.s plus . people often just parted and then some remarriad bigmously. You may want to splash out on the marriage cert for his status BUT then if he was being illegal he may not tell the truth about his mariage status anyway.

I cant see mary on any later census of see the other children as yet. He took on James Woodcock when he married so you would think if it was him he they would have his other children with them too .
