The person submitting the census correction was obviously unaware of the fact that in 1841, ages of over-15's were routinely rounded-down.

Awe bless everyone who has helped on here this is all my Peter. He was a carpenter sorry I never thought to mention. Its been also said that he fathered a child in 18?before he married mary and there was a court order to make him pay for this boy. I have looked but nothings come up

The 1841 census I took from a subscription site. (Many of the census records are available free at Freecen.org).

His date of birth and parents names are from a Public Member tree on the same site but I do have to say that there are no sources given so best to try to check it out yourself.

You may need to go to the records office for the area where he fathered the child to get details of the bastardy order.
