Gt Aunt Rose Wheeler; married Sidney Burgess in 1898. Tracked them until 1901 census, then blank.She may have married again as I knew him as Bill. Then lived in Nazeing,Essex in 1950s and 60s with a son Bill.
Anyone know of them?

Really strange

Both marriage show father as Benjamin Burgess - dealer - deceased

On both certs Sidney has not signed but made his mark

so Sydney has remarried but cant find a another marriage for Rose.

Do you have her actual birth date cos that may help find her death

Looked at the baptism record earlier to try and find her death

but she can't have died IF Daphne knew her in the 1950s and 60s!



they probably did not divorce ......... divorce was very expensive and very difficult to obtain right up to WW2, and only the very wealthy could go through with one.

yes, I've been looking for Alice Louisa

They were living at 112 Southam Street, when she was baptised.

and Alice was born 12th January 1903



but I don't know where that is in London!
